Ode to the Orange:
So, if you haven’t noticed yet because Spring is still trying to spring here in Nashville, you will soon see that this season’s trendiest color is some various shade of orange/coral. I love it. I have been stuck in winter’s drab and am ready for a revival of color and warm weather (Nashville if you have a late snow again this year I might just have to move). Above the photo from Gucci has been circulating all over fashion magazines, blogs and on the red carpet. I wanted to show Nashville that you too can find yourself sucked into a wonderful world of tangerine. The examples I have found are from stores or lines our boutiques carry in Nashville, though I can not promise if they are in stores yet. Be on the lookout, you can’t miss this.

after a nice long (props to Megan our H/M) shoot today and ignoring the torencial snow fall i spent hours trying to get home. this florida driver has learned how to drive in crazy weather with even crazier divers. i avoided all interstates with a fear of getting really stuck, which i think helped my drive time be cut because i decided not to follow all the over drivers. anyway, this video via morgan says it all, at least to those that were in this mess today. this is where the fits of laughter came in, after the margaita, after surviving w/ only fishtailing three times and successfully not having to abandon my car. great way to start a whole other year of insane weather.
props to nashville’s warm hearted people. a group of strangers pushed my car, along with many others, to get me/us all through a patch of ice.

Unisex High Fashion: hmmm…. ?
The Sao Paulo Fashion Week is in full swing. Designer Joao Pimenta has designed a plethora of wonderful full skirts, wide-leg trousers, crisp white shirts, and cute A-line dresses- all I would love to use at some point. The only hiccup is the line is for men. Love high fashion and creativity, but I am not able to quite wrap my brain around this one… unless it was a collection for monks.

You know you have made an impact on pop culture when an university creates a degree specifically about you life and music.
Chanel: Flats, Sequins and, of course, Tweed.
Oh Paris, darling of the fashion world, you offer up another great show from Chanel. What amazed me was the use of flats. Now, every girl can follow that trend and not feel so underdressed. I love this collection and it has deviated from what we usually see from good ole’ Karl. All the silhouettes were soft, light colors- very feminine. This Chanel line seems extremely easy to wear in every day life (or at least try to copy).
